This unparalleled selection allowed us to meticulously choose window treatments that not only met our functional requirements for light filtration and privacy but also perfectly enhanced the modern farmhouse aesthetic we cultivated throughout the flip house, creating a harmonious and polished living space.

This commitment to quality and a strong warranty adds significant, tangible value to the property, which is a major advantage for any successful flip house project.

A Seamless and Stress-Free Process from Start to Finish

One of the most appealing and beneficial aspects of working with Graber was the effortless and turnkey process from start to finish. Home renovations can often be complex, demanding, and overwhelming, involving countless decisions and coordination challenges. Partnering with a company that streamlines one major aspect like window treatments is an enormous benefit. Our delightful experience began with an amazing design consultation, where a knowledgeable Graber expert guided us through their vast catalog. They took the time to understand our specific needs, helped us grasp the nuances of different products, and ultimately recommended the best solutions to perfectly fit the unique requirements and aesthetic goals of our great room.

Strategic Window Treatment Choices for Our Great Room

For our expansive great room, we made deliberate and strategic choices to maximize both convenience and cohesive design. The room features a variety of windows, including high, hard-to-reach ones and more accessible ones, which required a thoughtful and tailored approach to functionality and style.

Embracing Smart Home Technology: Motorized Shades

For the taller, upper windows in the great room, which are often challenging to operate manually, we opted for Graber motorized shades. This decision was truly a game-changer for enhancing daily living! Motorized shades offer unparalleled convenience, allowing the homeowners to effortlessly adjust light and privacy with the simple touch of a button on a remote control, a wall switch, or even through seamless smart home integration. We immediately envisioned the joy and ease this feature would bring, eliminating the need for cumbersome cords, poles, or awkward reaching. Truth be told, experiencing these innovative motorized shades in the flip house has made me want to integrate them into every room of my own home!

Achieving Cohesive Design with Standard Lift Shades

For the remaining, more easily accessible windows in the great room, we selected Graber’s standard lift shades. The inherent beauty and clever engineering of Graber’s system lie in its ability to perfectly match the aesthetic and material of the motorized shades, ensuring a perfectly cohesive and harmonious look throughout the entire space. This visual consistency is absolutely vital for creating a polished, intentional, and high-end interior design. Both the motorized and standard shades work in unison to contribute significantly to the overall warmth, inviting ambiance, and sophisticated charm of the room, making it a truly desirable living area.

The Perfect Hue: Mering Belize

After careful and collaborative consideration with our expert design consultant, we chose the exquisite color “Mering Belize.” This particular shade offers a subtle yet profound earthy elegance that beautifully complements our chosen paint palette, the rich natural wood accents and exposed beams, and the distinctive patterns of our selected tile work. It’s a color that truly exudes serenity, sophistication, and timeless appeal, providing a perfect, versatile backdrop without overpowering the room’s other carefully curated elements. Once our selections were finalized, the design consultant efficiently placed the order, marking another smooth and stress-free step in our comprehensive renovation process.

Professional Measurement and Installation: A Turnkey Solution

One of the most significant and invaluable advantages of working with Graber, especially on a detailed and time-sensitive project like a flip house, is their comprehensive, full-service approach that includes professional measurement and expert installation. This truly made the entire process incredibly smooth, efficient, and completely eliminated potential headaches and costly errors.

Precision Matters: Expert Measurement Guarantees a Perfect Fit

Any seasoned renovator or DIY enthusiast knows the challenges, frustrations, and potential pitfalls of attempting to take precise measurements for window treatments. Even a small error can lead to ill-fitting shades, delays, and costly reorders. Graber eliminates this risk entirely by sending a skilled and experienced installer to meticulously handle all measurements. Our installer was incredibly efficient, accurately measuring every single window in no time at all, utilizing specialized tools and techniques. This level of expertise ensured that every custom shade would fit perfectly, providing a flawless finish and saving us invaluable time, considerable stress, and potential expenses.

Efficient Production and Flawless Installation

Once the precise measurements were taken and confirmed, our custom Graber shades seamlessly moved into production. We were pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround time, with all the shades ready and manufactured to our exact specifications in approximately two weeks – a testament to Graber’s efficiency. Following production, the same professional installer returned to meticulously and expertly install all the shades. The installation process was swift, clean, and absolutely flawless, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and superior workmanship. The entire experience, from initial consultation and design choice to professional measurement, efficient production, and final installation, was completely “turnkey”—a truly hassle-free approach that allowed us to confidently focus on other critical aspects of the renovation, knowing that the window treatments were in the most capable and expert hands.

The Aesthetic and Functional Brilliance of Natural Shades

Our choice of Graber natural shades for the flip house was a deliberate and foundational design decision, aiming to create a serene, inviting, and truly comfortable atmosphere while providing essential functionality. These natural shades are far more than just window coverings; they are an integral and harmonious part of the home’s overall design narrative, contributing significantly to its character and appeal.

Harmony with the Home’s Design: An Earthy Embrace

We absolutely adore the earthy, organic, and inherently natural feel that these shades bring to the great room. Their subtle texture, crafted from natural fibers, beautifully complements the modern farmhouse aesthetic we’ve meticulously cultivated throughout the home, creating an authentic sense of warmth and inviting authenticity. The “Mering Belize” color, chosen with great care, effortlessly ties together the various elements of our interior design — from the soft, neutral paint colors on the walls to the rich, warm wood tones of the flooring and exposed ceiling beams, and even the unique patterns of our chosen tile work. This creates an incredibly cohesive and harmonious environment where every detail feels intentionally placed and contributes to a peaceful, sophisticated ambiance.

Balancing Light and Privacy with Intelligent Light-Filtering Liners

Beyond their undeniable aesthetic appeal, the Graber natural shades offer superb and crucial functional benefits. While we wholeheartedly embrace the abundance of natural light flooding into the great room, privacy and effective light control are absolutely paramount for any homeowner. To achieve this perfect balance, we thoughtfully added a high-quality light-filtering liner to each shade. This clever and practical addition allows a soft, diffused light to gently enter the room, preventing harsh glare that can be uncomfortable and disrupt activities. It also provides essential protection for furniture, flooring, and artwork from damaging UV rays, all while simultaneously ensuring complete and comforting privacy from the outside world. It’s the ideal solution for creating a comfortable, intimate, and protected living space without sacrificing the desired brightness or the joy of natural light.
