The light base color was especially attractive, as it promised to contribute to a brighter, more expansive feel within the rooms. When placed next to my travertine tile, the Chateau Oak created a beautiful, complementary relationship, enhancing both elements. However, a significant concern emerged when I held the sample against my gray cabinets. In that particular light and pairing, the Chateau Oak took on a subtle, unwanted orange tone. Given my primary objective of moving away from the existing orange cast in my old flooring, this discovery was a critical deal-breaker, compelling me to pass on an otherwise stunning choice.
