Welcome back to the latest chapter in our exciting new home journey! As we draw closer to the grand reveal, the focus has shifted to the finer details that truly transform a house into a home. If you’ve been following along with our renovation progress, you can catch up on all the previous updates right HERE. This particular phase has been incredibly enjoyable and surprisingly impactful: selecting all the essential bathroom accessories. From elegant towel bars and functional towel rings to innovative paper holders, these elements are far more than mere utilitarian pieces; they are crucial components in defining the aesthetic and enhancing the daily comfort of each bathroom. Choosing the right accessories is an accessible and cost-effective method to infuse your bathrooms with renewed style and elevate their overall appeal, making even the smallest spaces feel luxurious and complete. This process allowed me to tie together different design elements and ensure a cohesive look throughout the entire house, emphasizing how thoughtful choices in finishes and styles can make a world of difference.
Our boys’ bathroom, a space that demands both durability and style, was one of the first areas where I finalized the accessory choices. For their main towel solution, I opted for the robust and visually appealing Waterhill Double Towel Bar by Moen. This particular piece immediately stood out to me, primarily because its exquisite oil-rubbed bronze finish perfectly complements the faucets we carefully selected for various areas throughout our home, creating a harmonious and polished look. The Waterhill collection is renowned for its distinctive design elements, and this towel bar is no exception. Its gracefully sculpted lines and subtle detailing evoke a lovely vintage feel, adding a touch of classic charm to a modern space. The double bar feature is also incredibly practical for a busy boys’ bathroom, providing ample space to hang two large towels, which helps keep the bathroom tidy and allows towels to dry more efficiently. This thoughtful design ensures both aesthetic beauty and high functionality, a perfect blend for any family bathroom looking for an upgrade that lasts.
Maintaining a consistent design aesthetic across multiple bathrooms is key to achieving a cohesive home interior. For hand towels in the majority of our bathrooms, I continued the elegance and timeless appeal of the Waterhill line by selecting their matching towel rings. These essential accessories are not only beautiful but also incredibly user-friendly, offering quick and easy installation that even a novice DIYer can appreciate. The simplicity of their design ensures they seamlessly integrate with the existing décor, and should my style preferences evolve over time, they are remarkably easy to swap out for new designs without extensive effort or specialized tools. This flexibility is a significant advantage, allowing for future updates and ensuring that your bathroom accessories can adapt to changing trends or personal tastes. The Waterhill towel rings in oil-rubbed bronze add a touch of sophisticated warmth and elegance, serving as a functional piece of art that complements the overall vintage-inspired theme of our new home while providing convenient access to hand towels for guests and family alike.
While consistency is important, allowing certain spaces to express a slightly different personality can add depth to your home’s design. We have a charming half bath that I envisioned with a more relaxed and casual ambiance, distinct from the vintage elegance of the other bathrooms. For this particular space, I chose to depart slightly from the oil-rubbed bronze and opted for the sleek sophistication of the Banbury collection in a brushed nickel finish. The Banbury line by Moen offers a clean, contemporary aesthetic that perfectly suits a more laid-back decor style. Brushed nickel provides a soft, matte metallic look that is both modern and incredibly versatile, pairing beautifully with a wide range of color palettes and design themes. This choice demonstrates how strategic variations in finish and collection can highlight the unique character of individual rooms while still maintaining a high standard of quality and design. The Banbury towel ring not only functions perfectly for hand towels but also enhances the overall bright and inviting feel of our casual half bath, proving that thoughtful accessory selection is key to achieving desired mood in any space.
In the master bathroom, creating a sanctuary of comfort and style was paramount. Beyond just towels, functional yet elegant solutions for robes are a must. I absolutely adore the super cute Robe Hooks that I meticulously installed in our master suite. These particular hooks, with their undeniably charming vintage aesthetic, are indeed from my absolute favorite Waterhill collection. The oil-rubbed bronze finish not only provides a rich, classic look but also perfectly harmonizes with the other Waterhill fixtures throughout the master bathroom, creating a cohesive and luxurious retreat. These double robe hooks offer convenient and stylish hanging space for bathrobes, providing an organized solution that keeps the bathroom tidy and adds a touch of sophisticated functionality. Their robust construction and classic design elevate the everyday experience, making it easy to keep our plush robes within arm’s reach while enhancing the overall visual appeal of the space. It’s these small, thoughtful details that truly elevate a master bathroom from merely functional to genuinely indulgent.
Now, let’s talk about an accessory that often goes unnoticed but can dramatically improve daily convenience: the toilet paper holder. For our main bathrooms, I selected the pivoting paper holders from the Waterhill Collection. Beyond their beautiful oil-rubbed bronze finish and elegant design, which perfectly complements the other Waterhill fixtures and faucets, these holders incorporate an ingenious feature that I absolutely love. Many standard toilet paper holders require a spring-loaded spindle, which can be fiddly and frustrating, especially when trying to replace a roll quickly. However, Moen’s thoughtful design eliminates this hassle entirely, making the mundane task of changing a toilet paper roll surprisingly simple and quick. This attention to user experience, combined with the Waterhill collection’s signature aesthetic, truly sets these accessories apart and reinforces the idea that even the most practical items can be both stylish and incredibly efficient. It’s truly a game-changer for household convenience.
Indeed, the true brilliance of these Waterhill pivoting paper holders lies in their unparalleled ease of use. This innovative design allows for effortless paper replacement – no more struggling with awkward spring-loaded mechanisms or dropping the spindle behind the toilet! With a simple pivot, the holder opens, allowing a new roll to be slid on with incredible speed and minimal fuss. This thoughtful engineering transforms what can often be a minor annoyance into a completely seamless operation. It’s precisely these “little things” – these subtle enhancements in functionality that greatly improve daily life – that truly stand out in home design. Beyond the aesthetic appeal of the oil-rubbed bronze finish, this practical feature is a testament to Moen’s commitment to combining elegant design with superior user experience. Choosing accessories with such practical advantages means that beauty doesn’t come at the expense of convenience; rather, it enhances it, making everyday tasks smoother and more enjoyable for everyone in the household.
The innovative pivoting design isn’t exclusive to the Waterhill collection; Moen thoughtfully extends this user-friendly feature across its different lines, catering to diverse design preferences. Here, you can see the same ingenious easy-change mechanism beautifully incorporated into the Banbury pivoting paper holder. This version, finished in a modern brushed nickel, perfectly complements the more casual half bath where we chose other Banbury pieces. It ensures that regardless of your preferred aesthetic—whether it’s the vintage charm of Waterhill or the contemporary simplicity of Banbury—you don’t have to compromise on functionality. This consistency in smart design across collections is a hallmark of Moen’s commitment to quality and user satisfaction. It means that every bathroom in your home can benefit from the effortless paper replacement feature, contributing to a consistently high standard of convenience and style throughout your entire living space. Choosing the right accessories, like these pivoting paper holders, demonstrates how thoughtful design can significantly enhance everyday living.

Moen’s reputation for quality craftsmanship and user-friendly design shines through in every piece, making these choices not just visually appealing but also a smart, long-term investment.
